Modern Inconveniences

Changing my name isn't always a huge inconvenience thanks to scanners, email, and fax machines. But there are still a few important places I had to go in person like the Social Security office (conveniently located five minutes from work) and the Department of Driver Services (open till 6:30 during the week and all day on Saturday). For some strange reason, the county tag office thinks they are deserving of a visit to change my name on my car tags, and of course their business hours fall within the time I have to be at work during the week. I cannot simply fax them my car title and marriage certificate (neither of which has my picture on it, so why to they have to see me in person?). I can have my dear husband bring them in since he has to go in to renew his tags and change them to Hall county, but then I have to make sure he has a notarized power of attorney to go along with those other official documents. Ah, the joys of governmental bureaucracy!

  1. There's no place in the whole world more convenient than the Department of Driver Services. They live to accomodate. :)

    HA!

P.S. Love the new banner. Very cool!
