So what are Dave and I discussing with three months to go? Well, the cake is the only big decision left--I'm torn between a friend from book club who is just starting out and the lady recommended by the caterers.
We're also debating favors for the reception. Dave is in favor (pun intended) of heart-shaped red hots (which apparently you can buy online in 40 lb bags from Ferrera Pan) that don't necessarily go with our color scheme. He has also wanted to purchase personalized matchbook favors since we started planning. If we go with matchbooks, I have stipulated that we have to get votive candles to go with them. To avoid the occasion of someone trying to light the candle at the reception (which would be a no-no unless it is in a well-contained glass holder), I suggested packaging up the candle and matches in an organza bag.
Then I got to show Dave what an organza bag is... lol
Jeff and I are like a block from Ferrara Pan. However, I don't recall seeing heart shaped red hots in their little storefront. We could bring you some green apple heads at $1.20 a pound though.
