Priming and Painting

When I bought my townhouse in 2007, I (with the help of my family) quickly painted the main rooms downstairs to give my home personality.

The great room is a normal green called Chameleon, I chose Aztec Rouge for the half bathroom, and the kitchen became a distinct yellow that I now fondly refer to as "school bus yellow" to go with my chili pepper theme.

Now that we're trying to get the house on the market, the bold red and yellow needed to go.  In my first week of voluntary unemployment, I tackled both of these rooms with primer and a paint color called Diamond Mine.  Thanks to my sister Mary for her help!

Looking at millions of "off white" paint chips, I thought Diamond Mine had a subtle hint of brown that would contrast nicely with the white baseboards and door trim... turns out it was just a fancy name for "white."  I'll post pictures of the finished rooms once the house is staged.  Our goal date to have it on the market is June 3rd!
