Overdue Introduction

After getting settled in our house last summer, we decided that is was time to get Skeeter a friend.  She was not thrilled with our decision, even though we found a declawed male who was the same age to be her companion.

We brought Buddy Holly home in August, the same month in which we adopted Skeeter four years before, and he is a sweetheart who just wants love from his humans.  He's a bit skittish around strangers, but once you pet him, he's your new BFF.  We'll often find his favorite mouse toy in his overnight sleeping spot on one of the afghans on the couch, so Dave has named the mouse Pookie (like Garfield's teddy bear in the comics).

Skeeter and Buddy have grown to tolerate each other most of the time, especially when they both want to sleep in my lap.  But you'd think she'd be happier about the housemate who brought wet food into her diet since she's addicted to her food dish...
