For this year's ornament, Dave wanted to commemorate our first international trip together to the
Dominican Republic during Spring Break. The new ornament joined
Skeeter's 2011 ornament, our
2010 wedding ornament, and the
2009 engagement ornament that began the tradition.

As in previous years, we drove down for Christmas brunch with the Schulze family. Our three nieces are getting so big--Kiersten is almost 6, Kerrington just turned 4, and Claire will be 2 soon. Mid-afternoon we headed up to my parents' house for dinner. Their 17-year-old beagle, Ralph, has given up trying to keep up with the niece-puppies, Layla and Booger, who are both 7. Next Christmas, my parents will get to celebrate having all three daughters happily married!
