My Thanksgiving tradition since moving out of my parents' house in 2002 is to bake a pumpkin cheesecake for Turkey Day. The recipe was actually in the November community newsletter for my first apartment, and it was so good that I've made it every year since!
Preparing the crust (graham cracker crumbs, sugar, melted butter)

Mixing the filling with my Kitchen Aid mixer, which was a wedding present
(pumpkin, corn starch, cinnamon, nutmeg added to softened cream cheese and brown sugar)

Adding the filling over the baked crust

Spreading the topping on the baked cheesecake
(sour cream, sugar, vanilla)

Finished cheesecake ready to cool and go into the fridge overnight

The cheesecake still in the fridge when we got home from Thanksgiving with Dave's family.
Yes, I forgot the pumpkin cheesecake.
I fail.

But because we'll be back down to see Dave's family on Saturday for his sister-in-law's baby shower, I'll just take it then to share with my in-laws!
Oh no!!! I have forgotten things for the big meals before, too. Maddening! Glad you'll be able to take it on Saturday!
